TUKWILA — Gatorade All-American candidate Sierra Keeler netted two goals in each half as the Seattle Academy shut out Toledo/Winlock United 4-0 in the opening round of the Class 1A state girls soccer playoffs Tuesday at the Starfire Sports Complex.
Keeler, a senior who has committed to play at Colorado College, has netted nearly 90 goals and 50 assists in her career for the defending Class 1A state champions (12-1).
“She’s a phenomenal player and we couldn’t stop her,” United coach Horst Malunat said. “It was a really rainy and wet game, but I thought my seniors did a great job in their final game.”
United finished its season 11-7-1. Seattle Academy plays King’s, a 1-0 winner over Seattle Christian in another first-round match, in the tournament quarterfinals.
