FEDERAL WAY — Kelso swimmer Jessica Patterson set individual school records, and was part of a record-setting relay that competed in the Class 4A state swimming meet at the King County Aquatic Center on Saturday.
Kelso finished 36th out of 54 teams at the meet with 11 points.
Patterson had school-record times in the 100-yard backstroke (10th, 1:00.51) and 100 butterfly (14th, 58.92), and teamed with Idil Ozer, Hannah Proctor and Shelby Metzger for a 20th-place finish in the 200 medley relay in a school-record 1:59.24.
The same foursome was 22nd in the 400 free relay in 3:58.24, Ozer was 22nd in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.11) and 23rd in the 200 individual medley (2:28.4), and Metzger placed 23rd in the 50 free (27.32) and 26th in the 500 free (5:58.09).
