PULLMAN, Wash. — There is already a clear winner in Saturday’s football game between Washington State and No. 25 Notre Dame.
The Cougars’ athletic budget will gross some $1.5 million from the game at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
The Spokesman-Review newspaper reports the Cougars will get $950,000 for playing in the game, plus $595,000 as their share of Notre Dame’s television package with NBC. That’s particularly helpful this year because television revenues and attendance are both down for the Cougars (1-6).
