VANCOUVER — Lower Columbia College used strong serving and had solid serve reception as the Lady Devils beat Clark 25-19, 25-27, 25-20, 25-23 in the NWAACC Western Division tiebreaker match Friday.
The victory gave LCC (20-22) the fourth berth from the division into the NWAACC Volleyball Championships beginning Thursday at Mount Hood College in Gresham. The Lady Devils play fourth-ranked and Northern Division champ Bellevue in the tournament’s opening round at 9 a.m.
“We played with energy and confidence throughout the match,” LCC coach Marcy Gilchrist said. “Our serving was on, and I’ve said all season that once our serving kicks in, we’ll be impossible to stop.”
The Lady Devils issued 13 ace serves. Tarin Bond led the Lady Devils’ serve-reception with 10 digs and Keisa Tsuda added seven.
