Nov. 3 Letters to the Editor
Writer offers no proof
Matt McClung’s Oct. 24 letter about his views concerning FOX News Channel compared Hannity and O’Reilly to the Archie Bunker Channel, saying they are racist. Is he saying ABC is a racist channel? He calls Hannity and O’Reilly racist without supplying proof. If he has any, he should produce it. And they are opinion shows, not a news segment.
The rest of McClung’s letter states that FOX is owned by Rupert Murdoch, which is the only thing in your letter that’s true. He also claims that the ”Chinese Communists are paying him to promote the conservative agenda.” Again, please show proof that this is so. It would seem more logical for the Chinese to support ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC and their leftist/socialist slant on the news, which would be more favorable to them.
As for a balanced budget, this Democratic administration has tripled the national debt in the first nine months of the president’s term. The Democrats control the executive branch, the House and the Senate; how can the Republicans start any wars? It seems to me that the Democrats could lose a couple, though.
McClung’s Tokyo Rose analogy is wrong, also. She was not feared by our troops in the Pacific; she was listened to and laughed at for the propagandist she was, not unlike Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann on MSNBC.

Many versions
In regard to Marquita Ward’s Oct. 3 letter to The Daily News, yes, there are so many versions of the Bible. In the preface of my NIV version, we have a clue as to what’s going on: “As an aid to the reader, italicized sectional headings are inserted in most of the books. They are not to be regarded as part of the NIV text, are not for oral reading, and not intended to dictate the interpretation of the section they head.”
Matthew has a version and Luke has a version; a difference that I can see. “He went and lived in a town called Nazareth,” not returned. Migration over Matthew 2:19-23 would be correct according to what he wrote.

All are equal in God’s eyes
In an Oct. 22 letter, Bobby Read Jr. wrote of the gay choice opinion. Sadly, he is also correct. False gays have a choice. False gays are average people acting gay. They are not true gays. New proposed Christian options: 1) average males marry average females 2) true gays partner true gays. The second option is controversial.
When science provides procedures that insure only average orientation, true gays will be very rare. False gays will still exist. The church would still not support false gay behavior. God can change false gay behavior.
God would not change true gays, because there is nothing to change. God sees everyone with equality. God determines how each kept the faith.
