Owner of Kennewick puppy mill faces additional charges

KENNEWICK, Wash. — More charges have been filed against a Kennewick, Wash., woman who is accused of failing to feed and care for 370 American Eskimo dogs.

Ella Louise Stewart, 66, now faces 10 charges stemming from the puppy breeding operation. They include first- and second-degree animal cruelty charges.

Stewart is scheduled to appear July 9 in Benton County Superior Court to enter a plea.

The dogs have been take to animal shelters across the Northwest.
