EVERETT, Wash. — A Gold Bar-area couple have pleaded guilty to six counts each of felony animal cruelty in the wake of a January raid that rescued more than 150 dogs.

Jason and Serenna Larsen entered their pleas Friday in Snohomish County Superior Court. Sentencing was set for Jan. 25.

The mainly small-breed dogs rescued in the raid were covered with feces. Several dead dogs were found, including the remains of puppies in a freezer.

Authorities believe the dogs were part of a multimillion-dollar puppy mill operation.
