TACOMA — A car that veered off a northbound I-5 overpass in Tacoma landed upside down on Highway 16.
Rescuers had to extract the driver from the car Tuesday, and KIRO-TV reports she was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. A witness said the car had been swerving and left the freeway without slowing.
A backhoe from a nearby construction site flipped the car back on its wheels so it could be towed away.
