KENNEWICK, Wash. — Sparks from a passing train likely caused a fire in Kennewick that was brought under control Saturday night.
Benton County fire officials say no one was injured in the blaze and only one structure — a shed — was damaged.
The fire was reported about 8:30 p.m. Saturday and caused heavy smoke in the area. Sixteen fire engines from around the region responded and more than 40 percent were on the scene.
