STEVENS PASS, Wash. — The body of a Seattle hiker has been found in a remote part of the Glacier Peak Wilderness about 10 miles northeast of Stevens Pass.

Chelan County Sheriff's Lt. Maria Agnew says two searchers on foot spotted the body of 42-year-old T. J. Langley Saturday afternoon near Luahna Peak at an elevation of about 8,600 feet. She says it appears that Langley slipped and fell about 300 feet.

The search for Langley began when family reported him missing after he failed to return Tuesday from a two-day solo hike.

Langley, a Seattle actor, was an experienced backcountry hiker. Ten years ago he survived a grizzly bear attack in Yellowstone National Park.
