Board the Crazy Train Cadillac Island Casino

Even if you missed the hot oil gal wrestlers at the Cadillac Island Casino last night, there’s more excitement Saturday night.

Crazy Train, an Ozzy Osbourne tribute band, will play starting at 9 p.m. at the casino at 1125 Commerce Ave.

Tickets cost $10 at the door.

Free performance marks opening of Clatskanie arts season

The Clatskanie Arts Commission will mark the opening of its 21st performing arts season with a free Labor Day concert.

The North Coast Big Band will play from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday in the Clatskanie City Park.

The group plays music of the big band era popularized by band leaders as Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw and Count Basie.

As a fundraiser, the CAC will offer “family-friendly” picnic items from 1 to 4 p.m. Two CAC season tickets will be raffled off during the show.

Warm up with the Buzzards Breath Chili Cook Off

The Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce sponsors the Sixth Annual Labor Day “Buzzards Breath” Chili Cook Off on Saturday in Cathlamet.

Cooking starts at 10 a.m. and the public will start tasting at 1 p.m., with judging at 3.

The event includes a tortilla throwing contest (kids get prizes), live music, a beer garden and a cow plop raffle.

The Chamber is looking for more chili teams to join in the fun. Grab your favorite recipe, your cooker and a pot and head to the Elochoman Marina on the mighty Columbia.

Iron Horse Festival features vendors, motorcycles

The Second Annual Highlander Iron Horse Festival, a family-friendly event for motorcycle enthusiasts, will be held in downtown Kelso from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday next to City Hall. Motorcycle registration begins at 9 a.m.

Dozens of vendors have been lined up to sell leather goods, arts and crafts, motorcycle items, collectibles,

T-shirts, biker lapel pins and food in the WorkSource parking lot. A live band will play rock ’n’ roll all day.

Motorcycle activities will include a “slow drag,” “loud pipes,” a “wienie bite” and a poker run.
