Daily News publisher Linda Lindus accepts job in California

Linda Lindus, publisher of The Daily News, will be leaving the paper to become publisher of the Torrance Daily Breeze and Long Beach Press-Telegram, two Southern California newspapers owned by MediaNews.
Lindus, 61, has been with The Daily News since November 2007. She came to Longview from Bloomington, Ill.
Lee Enterprises, owner of The Daily News, said a search for her replacement will begin immediately. Lindus will continue with The Daily News until Aug. 14.
