"A fine day for a walk," said Kieryn Anderson, 16, right, as he and his brother, Kylar, 15, take their dogs for a wintry walk near Hudson Park in Rainier on Tuesday morning. "The dogs love it," Kylar quipped.
The boys attend Rainier High School, which was closed Tuesday due to snow in the hills around town. Snow also fell in higher elevations around Longview and Kelso, but public works crews and police reported no problems with roads and no weather-related accidents.
Wednesday should be cloudy, with a 30 percent chance of showers and a high near 42. But snow might return by Friday, according to the long-range forecast.
