Southwest Washington Congressman Brian Baird will hold a one-hour telephone town hall meeting for Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties Tuesday at 1 p.m.
An automated system should “call” every publicly listed residential number giving residents an opportunity to participate. Those wanting to make sure they are on the call list also can go to Baird’s Web site, www.baird.house.gov, and click on the telephone town hall button at the top of the page to manually sign up. A recording of the meeting also will be posted on Baird’s Web site.
Residents can ask Baird about any topic they choose, though health care reform has dominated most of his recent public meetings.
Baird plans to hold telephone town halls in every county in Southwest Washington this month. His most recent one in Clark County attracted 6,000 constituents. Baird also held in-person town halls this week in Ridgefield and Longview, drawing 2,600 and 800 people, respectively.
