No election results changed with the release of updated numbers from the Cowlitz County Auditor’s Office on Tuesday.

The results were the last before the canvassing board meets to examine and rule on 33 suspended ballots and certify the results. A total of 21 ballots were added to the results since the last update on Aug. 20. Final results will be available Wednesday at 5 p.m. after the canvass board meeting.

Tuesday’s results show Castle Rock’s library levy has passed with 62 percent approval while the city’s police levy failed miserably with just 27 percent approval. Both measures needed a 60 percent supermajority to pass.

The two Castle Rock City Council and on Kelso School Board race results also remain unchanged.

In Castle Rock’s Position 1 Ray Teter and Howard Mason remained in the lead followed by Charles Jones. The top two vote-getters advance to the November general election. In Castle Rock’s Position 2 Glenn Pingree remained in first place with Buck Savage in second. Mark Accimus is a close third to Savage — just 18 votes behind — but the order has held steady since election night.

In Kelso, Joan Tolby remains in first with Jeff Hart in second and Gregory Salata a distant third, meaning Tolby and Hart will advance to the November election.
