The Cowlitz County Treasurer is reminding property owners that second half property tax payments must be made no later than Monday, Nov. 2.

Oct. 31, the normal deadline, falls on a weekend, giving taxpayers extra time to file this year.

The County Treasurer’s Office will be open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday for processing payments in person. The office is closed Friday, Oct. 30 but open Monday, Nov. 2.

Tax payments by check must be postmarked no later than Nov. 2 and be mailed to the Cowlitz County Treasurer at 207 N. Fourth Ave., Kelso, WA 98626.

Credit card payments can be made by one of the following methods:

• Call 1-800-2PAY-TAX (1-800-272-9829) at the prompt, enter Jurisdiction Code 5608. After authorization of your payment, you will be given a confirmation number that you should keep for your records.

• Log on to www.officialpayments.com for payments. The same Jurisdiction Code 5608 should be entered at the prompt.
