Hundreds of subscribers to The Daily News were sent renewal notices in the past week with an incorrect billing amount.

The renewal rate listed on the notices was double the actual cost. Subscribers who received the incorrect bills will receive a new bill soon.

Anyone who already paid the incorrect amount will receive a refund or credit.

The incorrect bills were sent by both e-mail and regular mail. For more information, call the Circulation department at 577-2571 between 5:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The Daily News apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this mistake.
