Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office detectives took possession Tuesday of William “Van” Reagan’s motor home, which had been stored in Portland since authorities found it Thursday.

Chief Criminal Deputy Charlie Rosenzweig said detectives will process the motor home for evidence in the near future at a site in Cowlitz County. He declined to describe that process or reveal the date(s) of that process.

Authorities have identified Reagan, 51, of Longview as a “person of interest” in the fatal shooting of Jeremy McLean, 26, of Longview, who was found dead Dec. 31 at Willow Grove County Park.

No charges have been filed in the homicide. Reagan and his girlfriend, Victoria Gatti, are being held without bail in the Multnomah County Jail on fugitive warrants.

Detectives continue to follow up on leads and conduct interviews, Rosenzweig said.

If anyone has any information about the death of Jeremy McLean they are encouraged to call Detective Sgt. Joe Reiss at (360) 577-3092.

Callers who wish to remain anonymous may also call Crime Stoppers at (360) 577-1206.
