TACOMA — Derek Todd scored on an 8-yard run with 4:03 left and Cashmere intercepted Cascade Christian quarterback Ben Johnson three times in the fourth quarter as the Bulldogs rallied for a 10-9 win in the Washington Class 1A state title game Saturday.

Cashmere (12-0) trailed 7-3 when Todd directed an eight-play drive after Johnson's second interception of the quarter. On third-and-4 at the CC 8, Todd plowed in to give Cashmere a 10-7 lead. Cashmere later took a safety with 55 seconds left, and Cascade Christian's last chance ended when Johnson was intercepted in the final seconds.

Todd rushed for 43 yards for the Bulldogs, but the defense struggle was the lowest scoring Class 1A title game since Eatonville beat Ephrata 10-6 in 1990.

John Brus ran for 99 yards and a touchdown for the Cougars (11-2).
