SEATTLE — Some final games in the Washington state prep football championships have been rescheduled because of a traffic accident involving the Bellevue High School team.
Nobody was seriously injured in the accident, which occurred Friday when the team’s bus overturned on Interstate 5.
But as a result, Friday’s Class 3A semifinal game between Bellevue High and Capital High School has been rescheduled to 7 p.m. Monday at Harry Lang Stadium in Lakewood. Tickets purchased for Friday’s scheduled game at the Tacoma Dome will be honored Monday at Harry Lang Stadium.
The 3A championship game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 4 p.m. at the Tacoma Dome. The Class 4A championship game will be played on Friday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m. at the Tacoma Dome.
