Highway patrols to be increased today for Civil War

E-mail this articleSALEM — Oregon State Police say they will increase patrols on all roads and highways leading to and from Corvallis for the annual Oregon-Oregon State-Civil War.
Their advice: Take it easy on the gas pedal.
Heavy traffic and delays are anticipated. State police will have a mobile D-U-I processing unit on hand to test possibly intoxicated drivers.
Corvallis police also will increase staffing levels Saturday.
Fans driving to Corvallis Saturday are advised to leave early.
