" scrathc: I hear ya. What's up with that, Waste Control? What's an extra day in the driveway? ---- I was hoping I didnt have to take the garbage can to the end of the driveway tonight, but I guess that plan is all shot to hell. "

" As much as I hate that too, if they take a day off, it throws the entire schedule off. It would be worse for them to have to double up on another day to catch up. However, I believe they do much earlier pickups on Thanksgiving and Christmas day, so the drivers can get home to their families much earlier. "

" For what it's worth, any of you folks ever work in say, retail grocery this time of year. Let's just say this, the day goes fast. Also, I do appreciate the garbage man. Especially when they dump a can that some yahoo overfilled and half of it hits the pavement. That's gotta suck having to pick up all the crap people throw in the can. "
