Kaiser Permanente Northwest has been named the top-ranked commercial health plan and top-ranked Medicare plan in Oregon and Washington, according to ranking by U.S. News & World Report and the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
The magazine’s Nov. 17 edition ranks the nation’s best health plans based on quality, member satisfaction and NCQA accreditation.
Nationwide, the rankings include nearly 300 commercial health plans. Among these plans, Kaiser Permanente Northwest ranked number 50. Its Medicare Advantage plan was ranked number 20.
“Being rated among America’s best health plans is a great honor for the region, one we have all worked long and hard to earn,” KPNW president Andy McCulloch said. “We’ve focused on clinical quality, service and affordability, and it’s terrific to hear that our members are feeling and appreciating our efforts.”
More than 470,000 people in Southwest Washington and Oregon receive their health care from Kaiser Permanente.
