TACOMA — The Tacoma News Tribune reports that state prison officials are tracking down more than 70 ex-convicts whose community supervision ended too soon.

And, the paper says, hundred more need to have their supervision level increased.

The Department of Corrections says the wrong classification system was applied to inmates released in the past three months.

The supervision is based on risk assessment scores: high violent, high non-violent, moderate and low. Higher risk ex-cons are required to report more frequently to community corrections officers and may be monitored more closely for drug use and other behaviors

The department started using a new formula in August that left out a base score for a prison record.

" So let's count the ways Da Tax Queen hasn't been a good governor; 1. $2 billion surplus now a $3.2 billion deficit, thanks Liberals. 2. She gives pay raises to unions who donate to her by forcing school districts to make budget cuts (see Kelso Special Education), and 3. Now we have felons roaming freely looking to punish innocent victims. Can you see the lawsuit if one of these criminals rapes or kills someone? Yes under Da Tax Queen we are definitely a better state. Don't you all think so? "
