HALSEY, Ore. — An Oregon woman who refused to return “The Book of Bunny Suicides” has changed her mind.

Taffey Anderson says she will make the book available for the Central Linn School District’s review committee to screen. The Halsey woman recently said she would burn the book rather than take a chance on it returning to a shelf at the Central Linn High School library.

Anderson says the comment about burning the book was made in anger, and she regrets making it.

The 2003 book of cartoons by British humorist Andy Riley depicts rabbits killing themselves in bizarre ways. Anderson saw nothing funny when she perused the copy her son checked out.

The school board will appoint a review committee to examine whether the book should remain in the library.

" I hope they ban it, and keep that filth out of schools altogether....how anyone can find humor in the grotesque is beyond me. "

" That book isn't grotesque, it's absolutely hilarious!!! I love the one where he goes Wile E. Coyote style and paints a tunnel on a cliff and a train runs him over. Hehe... "
