Author Greg Bear to lead workshop

E-mail this articleScience fiction author Greg Bear will be the first of this year’s Northwest Voices authors with two appearances Tuesday.
Bear is the author of more than 30 books of science fiction and fantasy, including “City at the End of Time,” “Quantico” and his most recent book, “City at the End of Time.” Awarded two Hugos and five Nebulas awards, Bear has been called the “best working writer of hard science fiction” by The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Science Fiction.
Bear has served on political and scientific committees and has advised the Microsoft Corporation, the U.S. Army and the CIA.
Bear will lead a workshop on “Where you get your ideas and how to know when one is ready to become a story” from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the LCC Admissions Center Room 143.
He will read from his works at 7 p.m. at the Longview Public Library.
