Clackamas County authorites are searching for a domestic violence suspect they believe may be employed as a house painter in the Longview-Kelso area.
According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s office, Matthew Marshall Ledbetter, 30, reportedly entered his estranged wife’s residence in Clackamas on Oct. 3 and physically assaulted her and struck her with a handgun.
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Domestic Violence Unit reports it has probable cause to arrest Ledbetter on charges of first-degree burglary, coercion, fourth-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and violation of a restraining order.
Ledbetter is 6 feet tall and weighs 155 lbs. He is believed to be driving a red and silver 1988 Suburban with unknown Washington plates. He also may be living on a cream-colored 26’ Well Craft cabin cruiser-type boat with a hull number displayed as WN2288RM. He has a gray-and-white Great Dane.
Anyone with information on Ledbetter is encouraged to contact the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office or their local law-enforcement agency. In Clackamas County, the contact is Deputy Paul Wade, 503-655-8211 or paulwad@co.clackamas.or.us.
The case numbers are 08-28242 and 08-33853.

look around. MOST of the people in the area are great people. yes, again, there is the negative, but I choose to look around at the blessings around me. thank God for the good supportive people around here (believe it or not there are a lot of them) rather than focus merely on the ones the bad. "
