Lewis County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a Winlock man accused of assaulting a teenage babysitter last weekend.
According to the sheriff’s office, Travis James Seeber, 34, hired an 18-year-old woman to babysit for him and his girlfriend Saturday at his home in Winlock. Seeber, 34, returned alone to the house, where the babysitter was asleep in the living room.
The sitter told police she awoke to find Seeber touching her body and pinning down her arm and leg. When she struggled, Seeber pulled out a black pistol, waved it around and told her not to move or speak or he would kill her, sheriff’s officials said.
Eventually, Seeber stood up and apologized, still holding the pistol, the sitter told authorities. He left the house, and the sitter ran to a neighbor’s house to report the incident.
Seeber’s unoccupied vehicle was found later that morning in the 100 block of Cougar Lane in Toledo. Lewis County K-9 units searched for Seeber without success.
A warrant has been issued for Seeber’s arrest for second-degree assault with sexual motivation and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
Seeber is white, 5-feet-7-inches tall, 210 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.
Anyone with information about Seeber’s whereabouts should call 911 or CrimeStoppers at 800-748-6422.
