Longview police assisted the Wahkiakum County Sheriff's Office with the arrest Saturday morning of Carissa Rose Norred, 27, and Jason Allen Hogman, 29, both of Longview.

Wahkiakum County authorities had developed information that property stolen in a burglary in that county had been taken to the couple's residence in the 1500 block of Alabama Street, the report said.

According to Longview police, when deputies searched the couple's residence, they not only recovered the property they were looking for but also seized meth, drug paraphernalia and stolen credit cards from a burglary that Kelso police are investigating.

Bail was set at $80,000 on suspicion of first- and second-degree possession of stolen property and methamphetamine possession. Hogman also had a misdemeanor warrant from Lewis County.

" To concerned: Where does this article mention the Task Force you are so loudly thanking in your comment In case you don't know typing in all caps is yelling and if you are going to yell you should probably know what you are talking about. If you are truly concerned maybe you could start by supporting some of the programs being designed and implemented to combat the Meth epidemic in our area. Maybe you could try reading instead of throwing the book. "

" Just think if they (police) used their resources better we would have more busts like this. "

" Okay, for one, Meth is not and epidemic, it is an illness.
I have no idea who you people think you for judging people who made a mistake and now they are suffering from the consiquinces of that mistake, and will suffer for longer then you all can criticize. Even for those of us who have been clean for a while (3 years for me) are still suffering. Give the a brake, you don't know what is going on in their lives, you don't know what made them decide to try drugs. EVERYONE MAKES BAD CHIOCES... EVEN YOU, CONCERNED AND HMMMMM..... So give people a chance. You don't have to like them, or even hang out with them, but have enough decency not to talk S***, about those people you don't know.. GROW UP, THIS IS NOT ELEMENTRY, MIDDLE OR HIGH SCHOOL PEOPLE, THIS IS REAL LIFE "

" OK once more from someone with over a decade off Meth and now a productive member of society. Illnesses do become epidemics if enough people suffer from it. I believe enough people are suffering to consider calling it pandemic ( I know you will need to look that one up or you may just call the CDC
if you already threw that book too) "

" I say legalize and let em all overdose... rid this community of the problem once and for all.... (for those that can't see it... it is called sarcasm). The way I see it is there are two more thiev'in meth heads off the streets for a few days at the least! I do know many that still us that crap, I refuse to associate with them until they clean up (good friends til they hit that stuff). Keep up the good work boys... get as many of them off the streets for what ever reason you need! "
