The Northwest Civil War Council presents a full enactment from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 30-31 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 1 at Fort Stevens State Park, off of Highway 101 near Astoria. Seven acres of living history includes actors in period clothing, hundreds of period tents and daily demonstrations of Civil War music, medical practices, cavalry and artillery. Battle reenactments are at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Aug. 30 and 31, and at noon Sept. 1. A Civil War era church service will be at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 31.
Admission is $13 per car.
