LCC's Rose Center opens with student art show

The Rose Center for the Arts at Lower Columbia College will get its first public event with an art show that opens next week.

The college’s annual Student Art Exhibit will take place May 23-June 5, with the opening reception from 4 to 8 p.m. May 22.

The Spring Student Pottery Sale will run May 22-24.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesdays-Thursdays. Admission is free.

Grand opening events at the Rose Center, with performances and art gallery talks, are scheduled for 1-5 p.m. June 28.

The "Grand Opening" might as well be a Private event! Who is it for? Having a grand opening on a Wednesday at 1-5 p.m. excludes the majority of the tax paying citizens. Oh, I know somebody doesn't want to stay late!
