A 28-year-old Longview woman was arrested Thursday for allegedly committing sexual acts with a boy and girl under age 10, according to a court documents.

Monica Faith Hawken is charged with first-degree rape of a child and sexual exploitation, among other things. Friday, a Cowlitz County judge set Hawken’s bail at $50,000.

The girl told investigators that on several occasions in 2004, Hawken had sexual contact with her, and then Hawken would watch an adult male rape her, according to court documents.

Thursday, Hawken admitted to Longview police she committed the acts “because she was curious and she didn’t have any adult friends she could trust to ‘experiment’ with,” court documents said.

Hawken voluntarily took a lie detector test at the police department. She also revealed she sexually assaulted a young boy on more than one occasion, court documents said.

" She only has a $50,000 bail? She ruined the lives of 2 innocent children!! If it was a male he would be locked up without bail. It shouldn't matter if it is a man or woman that commits the crime, it doesn't make it any easier for the children to deal with because it was woman! If anything it would be harder for them to understand!! Poor children... "

" Good Lord, "because she was curious"? Sounds like she's trying to set up an insanity defense. I hope they treat her as they would a male offender, and track down her "adult male friend" as well. Sickening. "

" What about the man that raped the child while she watched? no mention is made of his arrest or even possible arrest. I hope he is not let off the hook and ever effort is made to find him so they can hang together. "
