" Longview says 'if i wanted to see a clown, i would go to the circus' he is an embodiment of everything that is wrong with the USA. His intolerance being fueled by a media that betrays constructive journalism makes us a poorer society. From Illinois to Iowa he is not regarded as a clown but as an aspiring candidate who has a message of hope. Maybe Longview is beyond hope. The people who snapped up the Oregon tickets want to believe.Even if in a clown. "

I knwo if my minister spoke spoke out as anti-black and anti-American that I would never hear another word he said because I would never step foot back in his church. And the fact that my party has done nothing to distance itself from these views means I will not be voting in the upcoming elections. "

Funny, that's exactly the same platform that GW ran on..."change and hope". LOL, yep, funny how quickly people forget. You also seem to find something comfortable in "wanting to believe. Even if in a clown." Wow, I learned early on to LAUGH at clowns, not idolize or follow them. Personally, I couldn't agree more with Longview Billy. "

Can you imagine the outrage if this had been John McCain's minister? That is why I could never be part of the Democratic Party, too many Liberals who don't have a backbone when it comes to standing up for what is right, whether it is on the other side of the fence or on their side. What Obama's minister said about 911 and U.S. foreign policy is exactly the slogans screamed out places such as Syria and Iran by radical Muslims. So while Obama can say he isn't a Muslim, he certainly follows the evil spread by a wannabe Muslim minister. And then Obama has the gall to justify the rhetoric by saying he's heard worse from his "white" grandmother. So in other words Obama has full background of being a racist and hate monger. Now there are solid credentials for a Liberal Democrat presidential candidate. "

The lunitic fringe view of the rapture is JUST PLAIN SCARY from the point of view of normal christians and that is the interpertation whole evangelical wing of christianity subscribes to that bs. Separation of Church and State is the answer; every candidate has a crazy reverend they have to hide so why don't you shut up about Obama's. "

Fox News needs their ratings and HiLIARy needs your votes!! There's always a big scandal when you need one, right? And good old MCCLOWN and HiLIARY are ready there to stir the pot. Apparantly no one here has relatives or friends whose beliefs and speaking don't mirror their own. He stated that he did not agree with his pastor - I don't agree with mine some of the time, but I still go. Some of my friends and relatives will vote for MCCLOWN, that does not mean I hate them! So go on with your spinning and stirring the pot. You folks are the ones to blame for $3.50 gas, Rising deficits, Jobs being lost here and gained overseas, And the economy being in the toilet. The cause for all this was ignorance. You were all to ignorant to see what was plainly in front of you. And now that someone points out your ignorance, You name him Judas and try to censur his words. Wake up people! The coffee is stale and the bread is gone. "

Bush's spiritual advisor said that god allowed 9/11 because we had gays getting married, does that mean that's a view that Bush holds? But hey, it's understandable that the sheep will jump on this, it's only been a couple days since it was stirred up. I'm sure he won't get the presidency anyway, we're too busy fighting terrorism and giving our money away to vote for change. "

" Wow! Seems Cowlitz County may not be ready to accept what IS a significant issue here. Racism is alive and well. I am personally quite grateful for a candidate like Obama who is both white and black, understanding the racism from both sides. Why is it that we have such a hard time dealing with racism? It is real, and Obama faced it head on. I respect that in a candidate. For once there is someone who is not afraid to dish out the truth. I love my mother, although she lost her life love to the Vietnam war and has had a great deal of trouble accepting Vietnamese immigrants. Her racial slurs could be very hurtful, but I have not nor would I disown my mom. When everyone is ready to get REAL, then we can work together to create a better life. And, if you all are too lily-livered to stand up for your family relationships and you cut and run on your friendships when a voiced opinion offends you, then your friendship is of little value. I admire Obama's willingness to be REAL and let us know that it is okay to continue to love those who may hurt us and stand up for them...something like what Jesus did as Mary Magdalene was about to be stoned for her disgraceful activities. I think there is a lot of love lacking in our society and this cut and run, yellow, cowardly behavior is old. I'm ready for change. "

What kills me is that everybody blogging against Obama is being hurt by stupid republican policies. They can't even recognize their own interests. "

And, besides that, I am too busy making the largest deficit this country has ever seen to care." I take Bush's actions which act to DAMN AMERICA as seriously as I take Pastor Wright's racially charged sermon. As far as I am concerned, the only difference between Bush and Wright is that one actually does work to clothe the poor and feed the hungry. The other is too busy fuelin' up his jet and thumbing his nose at the very country that has so graciously allowed him to screw them! "

He is a leader for all Americans who wish these laws be corrected, not corrupted as our current administration, as well as the Clinton Administration proved to be.
Before you criticize, empathize and learn the truth of America politics and its players before you ruin it for the next generation by running your mouth.

" "Barack Obama has more class and intelligence than the white house has seen for many years". That's a comical quote considering that Obama is now exposed as a racist. His whole predicament tells me he has judgment issues. If he doesn't believe as this minister does then why have him as a spiritual adviser? Face it, he's a racist with racist views. He made a blunder of Bush sized proportions. Sorry but he's been tarnished and now so are the democrats supporting him. Let's not forget that his racist spiritual advisor called white people his enemy. Good job supporting a racist folks! "

THIS IS NOT A BLOG! wrote on Mar 21, 2008 7:34 AM:

" To all of you people posting in this "Comments" area below the article, THIS IS NOT A BLOG! This is what is known as a "MESSAGE BOARD". The word, "BLOG", is web slang for "web log". A web log, or "blog", is a journal of opinion, life, and various topics, all written by an individual. A message board, which we use here in the comment area, is simply what its name infers, a place to post messages. Now that we have our web lesson for the day, let's get on to the subject at hand. WHY DOES OBAMA ALWAYS PLAY THE VICTIM AND CRY RACISM? His camp is full of racist people! As far as Obama's message of hope, he talks about change and hope, but has given us no idea as to how he hopes to bring about change! He's all talk with no substance. He'd rather play the victim than be a candidate. Each time Hillary's camp challenges Obsama's words, Obama plays the victim & cries, "Racism!" However, Obama's camp can hurl scathing insults at Hillary's camp 24/7, and Hillary NEVER accuses Obama of sexism. Is it really a good idea to elect Obama, a racist clown that always plays the victim, to be the Commander in Chief for our great nation? "

Obama for President wrote on Mar 21, 2008 8:47 AM:

" I personally have never heard Obama cry "racism." As a matter of fact, I have never heard him make the silly list of excuses that the rest of the presidential candidates have. I have seen him address issues and blow off the political crap-slinging. I am all for Obama as he has shown so far to be focused on issues that affect us, and he speaks to us like we are adults. I don't need to be spoon fed the garbage. If we are going to deal with issues, I am ready - but as many of these posts show...some Americans really cannot handle being told the truth and are still stuck in the cycle of media-infused entertainment. GO OBAMA! "

It really makes me question the mentality of this community or lack of it would be more to the point.
What Obama’s church leader stated came from his mouth not from Obama’s so I suggest the hatred you negative posters are expressing is misdirected…think about it if you can find a brain cell.

" As a white woman who was married for some years to a black man, I will say that we met racism from all sides. I just cannot believe that I have to point out to the posters here that Barack Obama is not a "black" man nor is he a "white" man. He is both, equally! This election to me has nothing to do with electing the first woman or African American President. It is about electing the candidate best suited for the job and in my IMO Sen. Obama has not shown racism. He has shown true recognition of what really happens in our society and he should know...he has lived it. I applaud his honesty in taking on the real issue and not sweeping it under the rug like so many others. "

Wright's latest is more proof wrote on Mar 21, 2008 10:08 AM:

" If anyone doubts that Wright and Obama have ties to the Radical Muslims all you need to do is read his July 22, 2007, Church Bulletin. In it, Wright has an article titled "A Fresh View of the Palestinian Struggle" It is a reprint of an article written by a Hamas Member in which there is a call for the murder of all Jews. If Wright, and Obama by the fact that Wright was a member of Obama's campaign team at the time, do not believe in the cause of the radical Muslims why would they print this? Obama can no longer continue to spin his lie about Wright or his beliefs. Now I hope the Democrats do you run this lunatic. As soon as real America gets a whiff of this, the election's over. And by real America, I mean anyone outside the liberal bounds of Northern California and SF North (Portland and Seattle). The rest of America won't have anything to do with this kind of poison. "

McCain has hardly been to Texas and he's very popular with the Hispanics across the Southwest. He's a moderate on the border crises to the despair of most in the GOP. Obama will scare the Hispanics even as a VP candidate which might not bet the smartest thing for Clinton to do now that he has been branded a racist bigot by one of her most ardent supporters, Geraldine Ferraro. I do find it amazing though that far left can even think of defending Obama's hateful and racist inner circle. Whether that will be Obama, Clinton, or even old man McCain remains to be seen. I choose not to make up my mind yet because I need more information from all parties. How will this candidate implement all these changes? How will that candidate handle the oil crisis? How can we end this stupid and unnecessary war with a country that has hated America for centuries? When these answers are given to my satisfaction, I'll choose one to support. In the meantime, let's stop the mindless name calling on here and focus on the real issues. "
