A Columbia County grand jury Thursday issued a 30-count indictment charging Jan Elizabeth Gleaves, 39, of Rainier with a series of alcohol and sex offenses relating to contact with teenage boys.
The indictments handed down Thursday are:
- Four counts of unlawful delivery of marijuana to a minor, a felony
- Seven counts of contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor, a misdemeanor
- Four counts of third-degree sexual abuse
- 14 counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor, a misdemeanor
- One count of attempted tampering with a witness, a misdemeanor.
Arraignment is set for 11 a.m. March 31 in Columbia County Circuit Court, said Columbia County District Attorney Stephen Atchison.
Rainier police arrested Gleaves in December. She worked as a teacher's assistant for the St. Helens School District.
Investigators said Gleaves committed sexual crimes against teenage boys and served them alcohol in her apartment in Rainier.
