Daily News needs your egg hunt information
Local organizations host dozens of egg hunts for children every Easter season.
A roundup of Easter egg hunts and activities will be published in the newspaper March 20.
Groups or organizations are invited to drop off details in the newsroom at 770 11th Ave., Longview, send in details to Easter Egg Hunts, P.O. Box 189, Longview, WA 98632; or e-mail the information to front door@tdn.com. No information will be taken over the phone.
The deadline for information is 5 p.m. March 14.

Have a green thumb? Play bingo Sunday
Green Thumb Bingo will be played Sunday at the St. Joseph Parish hall, Fourth and Elm streets.
Doors open at 1 p.m. The games will be played from 2 to 5 p.m.
The cost is 25 cents per card with 21 games planned. A special blackout will be featured with $50 cash and other prizes being awarded.
Homemade pie and dessert will be available prepared by the Kalama Rough & Ready 4-H group.

Kelso class of 1958 to hold luncheon Tuesday
Members of the Kelso High School class of 1958 will hold a luncheon at noon Tuesday at Parker's Steak House, 3225 Ocean Beach Highway, Longview.
All classmates and spouses/friends are welcome.

Parents of Kelso class of 2012 plan fundraiser
Parents of the Kelso High School class of 2012 are planning a "Family Movie Night" fundraiser featuring "The Bee Movie" on Tuesday at the Kelso Theater Pub, 214 S. Pacific Ave.
The doors open at 5:30 p.m. The movie will start at 6 p.m. Any donation offered at the door is the entry fee. A dinner special of a slice of pepperoni, Hawaiian or cheese pizza with a 12-ounce soda will cost $3.75.
Donated gift baskets will be raffled after the movie. For details, call Kim Miller at 425-1439.
Community workshops offered at Elder Options
Free community workshops will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. the first and second Tuesdays of March, April and May at Elder Options, 872 15th Ave., Longview.
The meetings are informational. No sales will take place. Additional literature and information on aging and related subjects will be available. Refreshments will be provided.

Four speakers will be featured March 11:
Nancy Verhei, GCM, of Elder Options will discuss "Caring for Aging Parents" She will explore the issues facing seniors and their adult children who assist them. A sampling of topics to be covered include determining when intervention is needed, how to hire help, resources available in our community, lifestyle options, and costs of care.
Susan Coillier, an agent with Banker's Life Insurance Company will speak on "Answers To The Long-Term Care Dilemma." She will explore various issues associated with planning future care options. and what to look for when shopping for long-term care insurance companies.
Jacquie Cook, an agent with Sterling Insurance Company, will discuss "Medicare Supplemental Insurance Options." She will offer details on what Medicare covers and what add-on policies people may need.
Dewey Haney, a broker with New America Capital, will explain the purpose of reverse mortgages, and how seniors can pull equity from their home to pay for in-home care, medical bills or living expenses.
