The Columbia County prosecutor is recommending 30 months in prison for Christine Marie Johanson, the former Rainier teacher's aide who pleaded guilty Friday to four counts of third-degree rape.
Her sentencing hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Oct. 3 in Columbia County District Court, where she admitted having sex with a 15-year-old Rainier boy in Oregon in 2006.
Earlier this week, Johanson, 36, was sentenced to six months in prison in Cowlitz County Superior Court after pleading guilty to having sex with the same Rainier boy in Longview between March and May last year.
Johanson remains out of custody while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted, Columbia County Deputy District Attorney John Berg said Friday.
Wednesday, Cowlitz County Superior Court Judge Steve Warning said the six months he imposed for one count of third-degree rape could be run concurrently with whatever sentence Johanson receives in Oregon.
Berg said prosecutors are asking for a sentence of 30 months because the presumptive -- or standard -- range for a fourth conviction of third-degree rape is 25 to 30 months. By comparison, if Johanson were convicted of only one count the range would be 13 to 14 months, he said.
