Take a 'fun class' at LCC this summer

Openings are available in the following Community Education courses offered through Lower Columbia College this month.
The classes are listed on the back pages of the school's quarterly schedule and online at lowercolumbia.edu/community under "Take a Fun Class."
Classes are held at LCC unless otherwise noted, and they are open to all residents in Longview, Kelso and surrounding areas.
To register, stop by the LCC Admissions building. Those interested also can call 442-2840 to request a registration form by mail or to pay via Visa or MasterCard.
Prospective students should register early to help prevent cancellation of the classes due to lack of participation.
n Beginning Adult Jazz --- 7:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays, July 9-Aug. 27, Gym 201; learn traditional Broadway styles to contemporary hip hop; register for item 2212; $64
• Accent Reduction --- 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, July 10-31, Applied Arts, Room 123; licensed speech and language pathologist Suzanne Weed will share remedies for common verbal mistakes made when English is a second language; bring $5 to class for handouts and a tape recorder for practicing; register for item 2325; $85.

• Digital Cameras --- 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 17-26, Applied Arts, Room 105; learn how to take pictures, put them on a computer, make them look better using a photo editor and prepare them for print or e-mail; register for item 0999; $49.
• Digital Scrap-booking --- 6-8 p.m. July 19, Applied Arts, Room 110C; learn how to layer photos with backgrounds that will make a scrapbook "pop" with energy; instructor Jolene Williamson; register for item 0996; $20
• Flagger Certification --- 8 a.m.-4 p.m. July 21 in Woodland; attend training and successfully complete the Evergreen Safety Council Flagger Certification Test to receive a flagging card valid in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana; current flagger card must be presented to instructor if renewing; for a photo on the card, bring a 1 by 2-inch photo to class; register for item 1013; $50.
