Go 4th celebration blasts off Saturday

Longview's Go 4th festivities start on Saturday and continue through Tuesday. Unless noted, events are at Lake Sacajawea. Following is a schedule.
Saturday
All day -- Flea market, food concessions, information booths, crafts, Longview firefighter Hole-In-One Golf, all at Lake Sacajawea.
10 a.m.-4 p.m. -- Go Fourth Shuttle, with pickup locations at the corners of Hemlock and Commerce and Maple and Commerce.
10 a.m.-4 p.m. -- The Art Connection, with artists showing works in businesses along Commerce Avenue, downtown Longview.
10 a.m.-4 p.m. -- Bow Tie Bash Car Show, Commerce Avenue, downtown Longview.
5--11 p.m. -- Pioneer Lions Club beer garden, across from Expo Center on Seventh Avenue. Food available.
Sunday
All day -- Flea market, food concessions, information booths, crafts, Longview firefighter Hole-In-One Golf, all at Lake Sacajawea.
Monday
All day -- Flea market, food concessions, information booths, crafts, Longview firefighter Hole-In-One Golf, all at Lake Sacajawea.
Tuesday
All day -- Flea market, food concessions, information booths, crafts, Longview firefighter Hole-In-One Golf, all at Lake Sacajawea.
8 a.m. -11a.m. -- Lion's Club Pancake Breakfast.
8 a.m. -- Parade lineup at 14th and Broadway.
10 a.m. -- Parade starts at 14th and Broadway.
11:30 a.m. -- Timber sports preliminaries.
Noon -- Opening ceremonies at Martin Dock.
Noon-1 p.m. -- Pioneer Lions Kid's Races, R.A. Long High School.
12:50 p.m. -- Official flag raising, Martin Dock.
1 p.m. -- Timber sports competition.
10 p.m. -- Fireworks show.
Martin Dock entertainment schedule
Saturday
4:30-5:15 p.m. -- Kelle Ogden, a solo singer who has performed at many local festivals and events, including the 2005 local finals of the Colgate Country Showdown and Longview Stagework's production of "Always Patsy Cline." She's also a finalist at this year's Colgate Country Showdown.
5:30-6 p.m. -- Evergreen Dance Center students doing modern and classic dance styles ranging from hip-hop to lyrical.
6:30-8 p.m. -- Thomas Brothers. Rodney Ramos, Chris Thomas, Ray Thomas and Jerry Elizarius make up this band with a country and classic rock sound. They will also compete in the finals of the Colgate Country Showdown.
8:30-10 p.m. -- Fabulous Hooch Band, Dave Whittaker on lead vocals; Steve Hertel, lead guitar; Dave Melnick, bass; Jay Lohan, drums; and Brian Ericksen, percussion. The band plays upbeat blues and classic rock.
Sunday
10:30 a.m. -- Rainier Church of Truth Praise Team.
11:30 a.m. -- New Life Fellowship Glory Gals.
Noon -- Calvary Community Youth Worship Band.
1 p.m. -- Speaker Paul Bricknell on "Youth Are Valued!"
1:30 p.m. -- The Blackstones.
2:40 p.m. -- Fresh Attitude Dance Studio.
3 p.m. -- The Mark Schmutz Band.
4-5 p.m. -- Linda Storey, who started performing in the late 1970's and wrote the song "Mt. St. Helens was a Blowin" about the infamous eruption. Now joined by her daughter, Jessica, they play folk and blues with a hint of rock and roll.
5:15-6:15 p.m. -- Jamie Clark, a country music singer-song writer from the San Francisco Bay area.
6:30-8 p.m. -- Colgate Country Showdown local finals, with 12 local acts chosen during several preliminary competitions hosted by KBAM. The winner will advance to the state finals in the national competition in its 25th year.
8:30-10 p.m. -- Fabulous Hooch Band.
Monday
1-2 p.m.-- Sinloop, a local Christian hard rock/heavy metal band consisting of Johnnie Brewer, vocals; George Wicklander, lead guitar; Dave Anderson, drums; and Floyd Record, bass.
2:30-4 p.m. -- Eric Savage Band, a blues band out of the Portland area.
4:30-5:15 p.m. -- Thomas Brothers.
5:30-6:30 p.m. -- Lee Birchfield as Elvis. Birchfield has played at several locations locally, including a show at the Columbia Theatre.
7-8 p.m. -- Milestone Group, with Jenny Turner on lead vocals, Dave Turner on bass and Greg Stone on lead guitar performing a variety of styles.
8:30-9:30 p.m. -- Prodigal, a Christian classic rock band made up of Monette Long, lead vocals; Dave Orr, acoustic guitar; Floyd Record, bass; Eric Branch, drums/percussion; and Quincy Follweiler, lead guitar.
Tuesday
Noon-1 p.m. -- Ayemo, acoustic, indie "estrogen rock and undulating folk music."
1:30-2:45 p.m. -- Fabulous Fairlanes, '50s and '60s rock.
3:15-4:30 p.m. -- Fabulous Hooch Band.
5-6 p.m. -- Numbered Days, an alternative/rock band.
6:30-8 p.m. -- Electric Shades of Blue, a blues rock band whose members are 15 or 16. Kurtis Dengler, vocals and lead guitar; Lars Henriksen, drums; Ben Strom, bass; and Jacob Lundgren, guitar.
8:30-9:45 p.m. -- Three Hole Punch, good-time rock and roll.
10 p.m.-- Fireworks soundtrack broadcast on Magic 94.5 and 97.9FM.
