Investigators continued working Monday to determine the cause of Saturday night's fatal fire at 2851 Rose Valley Loop Road, Kelso.

Based on all the information available, investigators believe there is nothing suspicious about the fire, which destroyed a double-wide manufactured home.

The cause of death of the victim, Rocky Parsons, 56, has been determined to be "inhalation of combustible items," Tim Davidson, Cowlitz County's chief deputy coroner, said Monday. The victim's identity was verified through dental records, he said.

Davidson said although Parsons had a history of heart trouble, the body was too badly burned to determine whether he had a heart attack before the fire.

Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office and Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue are investigating the blaze.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Dahl-McVicker Funeral Home.
