Kalama artist's work in full bloom

The loose brushwork of Vincent Van Gogh and simplified shapes of Georgia O'keefe are strong influences in the body of work in Wise's exhibit, entitled "The Rhody Series." In the 10 oil paintings portraying rhododendrons in bloom, Wise experiments with application technique, applying the vibrant colors to different surfaces.
A reception will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday.
The Gallery is at 1418 Commerce Ave. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday Saturday.
